Keep an opening door from reaching the wall with this floor mounted door stop. Its brass body and wraparound black rubber bumper create a practical stopping point near the bottom of the door. The simple shape works with both contemporary interiors and more traditional door hardware.

Unlike a loose door wedge, this model is designed for a fixed position on the floor. Place it where the bumper meets the door before the handle reaches a wall, cabinet or other nearby surface.

Choose your finish

Aged Brass: a deeper, antique-style tone for a warm, understated look.
Brushed Brass: a lighter golden finish that adds a warm metallic accent.
Black Brass: a dark finish for a coordinated look with black hardware or a crisp contrast against lighter floors.

Compact brass body with a rubber contact surface

The brass body measures 1.38 in. high, with a 0.98 in. body diameter. The rubber bumper extends beyond the body to provide the contact surface for the door. The bumper band is 0.47 in. high and starts approximately 0.47 in. above the floor, so check your door clearance before installation.

Each order includes one door stop in your selected finish and one mounting screw. For care, wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry gently. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the finish.

Check the position before fitting

A floor door stop needs a suitable fixing point and enough contact with the door to work correctly. Check the gap below the door, its opening path and the clearance around the handle before choosing a location. Keep the stop away from walking routes wherever possible.

Does this door stop hold the door open?

This model is intended to limit opening travel. It has no listed magnetic catch or hold-open mechanism, so do not rely on it to hold a door open.

Is it floor mounted or wall mounted?

This is a floor mounted model. The body stands at floor level and the black rubber bumper provides the contact point for the door.

Positioning your floor mounted door stop

Open the door to the desired stopping point, leaving clearance between the handle and the wall or nearby furniture.
Check that the bumper will contact a suitable part of the door above the floor gap. Choose a location away from normal walking routes.
Check the floor construction and locate any underfloor heating, pipes or cables before drilling.
Select fixings suitable for the floor substrate and follow the fixing manufacturer's drilling and installation instructions. One mounting screw is included; check that it is suitable for your floor substrate before use.
Secure the stop, then open the door gently to check bumper contact and handle clearance. Recheck the fixing periodically.

If you are unsure about the floor substrate or concealed services, have a qualified installer assess the fixing location. Do not use this stop as a hold-open device for a fire door.
